ShmooCon Labs

Question

What happens when you have a hacker con, invite vendors, attendees, and networking veterans alike to setup the production conference network in one marathon session?

Answer:

Shmoocon Labs

Labs takes the experience of rapidly building out a production network for 1500 conference attendees to the next level by opening it up the public. We encourage vendors to bring their products and attendees to bring their willingness to geek out. As a particpant you will get hands on configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial and open source tools alike. As a vendor you will get your product exposed to a trial by fire interoperability fest, get feedback from attendees, and see how your product fairs once unleashed to the Shmoocon masses.

Con Attendees

Con attendess that signup for Shmoocon Labs will take a part in setting up a variety of commercial and open source components including ( but nessecarily limited too):

Vendors

As a vendor you show up with networking or security products ready to get hands on showing participants configuration and operatation. Be ready to trouble shoot interopability issues, figure out how to export logs, harden, protect from attacks and more.
